The most damning characteristic of evil is the arrogant pride it has in its existence. Evil proudly raises its ugly head and arrogantly declares that it is beautiful and possesses a greater morality than even the most humble non-threatening person.
What is more damming and morally disconcerting is that so many avowed conservative Christians have an addictive attraction to the right wing Tea Party rhetoric that spawned the cruel and evil politics of conservative Tea Party Republicans. The Republican party is a party whose base ideology is that spending money on anything that does not advance the cause and economic prosperity of billionaires and multi-millionaires is morally reprehensible.
Tea Party Republicans goals and rhetoric reveals a party with no ideas which advances the common good. They are especially cruel to the subservient loyalty of their poor, working class, and middle class conservative base. Tea Party Republicans are more like The Anti-Christ than they are like the liberal Jesus Christ. However, the parties behind the Conservative Throne spends billions to ensure that their low information base is deluded into thinking the super rich, by their repressive actions are God fearing, patriotic, men and women who care about them.
Right wing conservative Republicans promote rhetoric and policies that are radically opposed to everything Jesus Christ practiced and taught as examples to those claim and chose to follow Him. One simply cannot be a real Christian and at the same time pledge an affiliation to and embrace the anti-Christ policies of the conservative right. It is impossible.
For some good Christians who follow the path of Jesus Christ, it is a sacrilege to behave as some professed conservative Christians choose to behave and dare call themselves Christians who "love Jesus Christ".
Liberal patriotic Americans are often frustrated in their efforts to engage in a rational debate with avowed right wing conservative Christians. They shouldn't be. If the life, parables, and wisdom of Jesus Christ doesn't stop conservative christians from being racists, sexist, homophobes who despise and punish anyone who doesn't embrace their vile seditionist rhetoric, what chance do liberals have of keeping them out of the place some Christians call Hell?
I repress the urge to cite another litany of the anti-Christ rhetoric coming from the Christian right. Most of is so prolific and so obvious that only a delusional, self-righteous, self-righteous, self-centered right wing conservative blinded by division, bigotry, and hate can fail to see the hypocrisy in what they profess and what they say and do.
Suffice it to say that any party that would rather see the government of the United States Of America shutdown than provide affordable healthcare for poor, working class, and middle class Americans simply because they believe in the lie that it takes profits away from billionaires is a party of the anti-Christ.
If any of these words make professed Christians on the conservative right angry, so be it. But their anger must pale in contrast to the sadness, anger, and disappointment to the one they claim is their Lord And Savior. How can Jesus Christ not feel angry by those who blaspheme His Name by their allegiance to repressive, cruel, and evil politics?
Before any right wing, poor-people-bashing, money-grubbing, rich-protecting, greedy "Christians" express outrage at any suggestion that Jesus Christ would get angry over their behavior, perhaps they should stop quoting the Old Testament and re-read--or read for the first time--the Gospels (those first four books in The New Testament). When they do they might be reminded of the time Jesus became angry and overturned the tables of the money changers in the Temple. "...Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but you have made it a den of thieves."
The beauty of America is that most of you can choose to believe whatever you choos to believe and support whatever you choose to support. Of this however, you can be sure...
You can choose to be a Conservative Tea Party Republican who advocate the cruel, evil policies of the rich and show disdain for the poor or you can be a real Christian who follows the teaching of Jesus The Christ who was an adamant advocate for the poor and other ordinary citizens. But, you can't be both.
